Hi there, I’m Barb, lover of nature, flower gardens, good coffee and an occasional Californian Cabernet Sauvignon.
My earliest inspirations came from my Grandmother’s garden. To this day the memory and scents of her gardens filled with sweet peas, snapdragon’s, peonies and daisies remain my forever favourites. Time spent in the family’s tropical plant business enhanced my love of nature and its many forms. I spent many magical moments visiting gardens in BC, Southern California, England, Ireland, Italy and culminating with the Bloemenmarkt Flower Market in Amsterdam to form the foundations of my inspiration and design style!
Fast forward with several years of floral design education and freelance design work to 2019 when I launched Bliss with Blooms specializing in custom wedding florals and events. Inspired by your vision, I delight in making your dreams a reality. I strive to use handpicked locally grown flowers when available and quality imported blooms in an environmentally conscious way where possible from my home-based studio. I only book a select number of weddings each year to ensure each couple or event receives my full attention and creativity.
